This is Burma's classic breakfast meal - which could be considered the national dish of Burma. It is served up by street-hawkers as the early rays of sun break into the day. The fish soup-base is cooked the previous night and is served piping hot, poured over noodles and topped with garnishing ingredients such as deep fried split peas, parsley, boiled eggs, fried fish cake, and of course, roasted red chili powder and fish sauce. We called Mohinga.
